PostSubject: Let's Fix the Plot   Tue Nov 17, 2015 12:01 pm

I have no idea where we're going with this, Parallel dislikes Felix because she has no idea where we're going with him, we're hardly all online together... so we need to get this straight here where we're not bound by time. I'd like it if we sorted out exactly what's happening in the plot so we can finally get on the same page as well as plan out character interactions and personal goals.

For example, Felix's thoughts about...
Raphael: He's a great trainer, but he could be so much more with Felix's help. Felix spends a lot of time with his Pokemon, ensuring that while they're trained hard they're not overworked (unless I'm stepping on Mal here) as well as give them diets and programs that suit their needs.

Sonia: He thinks she wouldn't seriously hurt anybody to the point of being oblivious to the damage she can cause, so simply tries to be a good friend to her like he would a normal person even as she attacks Felix and others. He's very interested in learning the Zorua and Sawk languages.

Mal: Felix respects him and his talents, always curious to see what he'll make/bake/paint next. He'd love to hear Mal talk about medical things in the hopes of picking up some veterinary tips. He can already speak to Su Lin and Teddi as they are very popular breeding Pokemon and is a little obsessed with Seiryuu for being both rare and beautiful.

As for plot all I really know about what's happening is they're going to all the Kanto Gyms. To ensure Raph always has a good sparring partner (unless that's Sonia), Felix will get all the Gym Badges as well. Most of his Pokemon are caught on Routes between towns, but he'll either haggle for or be gifted Cad (Porygon) and will rescue Cloud (Swablu) around the seventh Gym or so. What I'd like to know is what you all wanted for the plot beyond this so I can finally have this straight. And even if you're not sure, your ideas are still welcome, I'd say.

I see, in regards to Raphael:

Felix: He is a good person. His understand and knowledge of pokemon far surpasses his own. Though, he thinks Felix can be a nuisance considering he keeps interrupting his training sessions. He does respect him for his accomplishments in getting his breeding license and thinks that they can work together to create great teams. His language talents is something that Raph can only dream of having and is jealous of them. Wishes he would stop pairing up his eevee with Sonia's Zorua though.

Sonia: Absolutely scared of her. The Darkins hate the d'Alcotts for reasons Raph doesn't know and it seems that every time he opens his mouth, she is ready to blast into next week with her powers. He does respect her abilities as a trainer though, but thats just about it. Wishes that he didnt need to travel with her.

Mal: Best friend for life. He loves Mal like his own brother and gladly would help him in any situation. Does question why Mal wants to go on this journey since he didn't seem to have any interest in pokemon battles before. Also, and Raph doesn't like admitting it, but Mal serves as his anchor to reality, without him, Raph would probably not be half the trainer he is today

Following the pattern, Sonia;

Felix: I don't really know him, so I'll do my best. She finds him a nuisance; he ships her Pokémon and doesn't shut up or stop trying to befriend her. Zorua thinks he's funny and Sawk thinks he's an okay guy, though, which are points in his favour. And his thing with Pokémon languages is interesting and merits her grudging respect. After defrosting a bit, she'd call him an acquaintance.

Raphael: Initially, Sonia hates his guts. He dislikes Psychics, he's insensitive, he also doesn't shut up, and he's a d'Alcott. After being convinced by Mal to give him a chance and traveling with him a bit, she respects him as a friendly rival in battle and perhaps as an acquaintance, and understands the stress he is under, but still finds him somewhat irritating. She does not approve of ZoruaxLune either, which seems to be the only thing they can agree on.

Mal: Sonia finds him the most bearable of her companions, by far. He is understanding and empathetic, and she confides in him before anyone else. He has stopped her from leaving the group, from having a meltdown, helped her get through the turmoil with her mother, has experimented with shutting off his emotions and actually respects her. He is perhaps the only one of the three she would call a friend.

I'm so glad your characters both hate ZoruaxLune so much! That'll make it even more fun~ And you both got Felix right, so that's even better!

Mal towards:

Raphael: Raphael has become like a brother to Mal over the years, always there to talk to and cheer him up. When Mal gets too introverted, Raphael pulls him out of his shell and gets him to go out there and be more lively. Given how much Mal would prefer to hole himself up in his workroom, Raphael is one of his main motivations and a factor into Mal interacting more with the outside world and being social.

Felix: Felix is someone Mal is infinitely glad to have around. They share many likes and tend to talk about pokemon health. Whenever Felix is working and thinking about Raphael's pokemon (specifically their health), Mal tries to be helpful and make suggestions, while taking note of Felix's approach as a breeder (whose focus on raising, breeding, and nutrition of the pokemon makes him curious). Felix is one of the few people that Mal can talk to at length about things, especially since they share many interests together.

Sonia: Mal, while initially wary and watchful, has always tried to be understanding and open. Over time, he really empathizes and wishes to be more supportive and become a good friend to her. While knowing and understanding she wants her space, he tries to at least quietly convey that he is there for her when she needs him to be.

And Eve towards:

Mal: He makes her uneasy, since there's something about him that feels familiar and she has this instinctive protective feeling over him. She curiously watches over him, trying to figure why she feels that way and how she knows him.

Felix: His shipping of pokemon amuses her, and she periodically (in disguise) approaches him with random suggestions of his traveling partners' pokemon being paired. She also gives him frequent advice on his Reaper and Aria, given her unfortunate experience with psychotic people and pokemon (hopefully to curb and redirect Reaper's focus and bloodlust) and abused pokemon (similarly in timidness to Aria, which is to help her bring her out of her shell and be more confident).

Raphael: Fascinated by his optimism and "bright light", she sees him as someone who makes her want to better herself and somehow reminds her of something in the past, even if she can't remember. She refuses to let his brightness dim.

Sonia: Carrying an incredible amount of guilt over assassinating Sonia's father, Eve wishes to do what she can to help and protect Sonia. Watching over her and making sure she's okay, Eve tries to make things easier on the Psychic, though she refuses to be called a "guardian angel" and will irritably punch Proton and Petrel for calling her so.

Okay, so we should be done with our prologues and our backstories (with Felix being caught up), so right now this is what I need from everyone to be noted and get done:

1. Chapter Summaries from 1-10 (including the chapters everyone's done and shown/published) (post this on your characters' threads)

2. Summary of the Book of Felix (like posted on our actual site, and not a simple, condensed one on FFN)

3. Clearly state your characters' plot, main drive/goal, conflict, and how you think the finale goes (at least for season 1)

4. What is your focus on season one? What would you like to do for future seasons?

5. Finally, looking at the "Order of Journey" thread (and please post your answers to this there), please list key events (and "collision points" with the other characters) you'd like to write in each city that's been listed where the characters are going.

Also keep in mind, like our title says, each character is supposed to create their OWN legends, therefore it's alright to have things sort of separate with colliding points. It is also good to note that each character seems to have a particular region stuck to them, so Kanto: Raphael, Sinnoh: Felix, Unova: Sonia, and Kalos: Mal (Johto, maybe Eve, I think).
